I’ve Changed My Mind About Love

Love is my body on top of yours, our eyes locked and wandering. This love knows no time, no possession, no erotic frenzy. Our love is fingers and legs entangled, words dancing and hearts beating. Love is a warm bed in a quiet room. The world outside breathes and turns to starry nights but we are in here, lost in a sacred dance of hands on flesh and syllables on tongues, exploring and discovering that this kind of love knows no fire, no chances for being burned.

This love caresses and cares and nourishes our souls back to a place of safety and Truth. Hands and arms and expanding rib cages telling stories without words. Love is not pain or jealousy or obligation. It never was. This love pays no mind to the location of our bodies. Souls have met.

And our love is a welder, melting together spirits like precious metals with stones, carefully crafting an invincible bond, a holding space for our souls to meet. A holding space where I can smell your skin and lay my body on yours for whenever our love calls us back home again.
